The first week in August has been a busy one at St Margaret's. We were delighted to welcome back Christian with the Halberstadt Pipe Band who were playing with the massed pipe bands at Aberlour Games. They were all in church the following day when Christian blessed the marriage of Andreas and Cornelia and the band played to mark the occasion. A large congregation enjoyed the ceremony and the music.

Storm Floris came in with a bang on Monday taking down a tree and several branches in the church grounds. Fortunately we were able to get these dealt with fairly quickly and were able to welcome our second group of visitors on Thursday. To mark the 150th anniversary of Aberlour Childcare Trust some young people and staff of the organisation had walked, in stages, the 150 miles from their first small care home in Kirkcaldy to St Margaret's Church where the story began. Several church members were there to welcome the walkers and serve them with tea and coffee. Walker's Shortbread provided the biscuits and two of their family came to greet the party. The group then left for Inverness where they were going to have an afternoon tea party to round off their trip.
